Time to fish!!

River is mostly clear and running at 480 cfs, 350 avg.

Over the last 2 weeks the rain has let up and the catching has been excellent!! The rainbows are hitting hard with some really nice browns attacking the flies on good days! The overcast days have been easy fishing with woollies a day nymphs. The sunny days have a tougher bite but the only trick is to get to the bottom. Shawn taught me that last week. Don't be afraid to put some weight on the line to punch to the bottom. Or euro nymph...

This is the quiet time on the Spring River. End of May summer starts and Saturdays on the Spring will be one big party. The campgrounds are open and offer easy wading and are stocked weekly.

Basically this is the time to get out and fish, but be careful wading the river flow is still above normal!!
