Low and clear
We still need rain. Water flow is at about 290 cfs, 350 is avg. Plenty of bows in the river this week. Havnt caught many smallies but they are there. Been a hopper dropper week. Pink worm and y2k has been hot, with one day woollies were the hot ticket. Im getting booked up, got few opens still in July, wide open after first week of August. It's gets hot we will start doing half days and starting early, but not too bad this week with the cloudy days.

Low and clear!
We got a touch of rain, just enough to stir the water up Friday and Saturday, both tough days for catching with a little rise in the river and plenty of vegetation. It was back to low and clear today, water flow is at 300 cfs and water clarity was great. We still need rain. It just keeps missing the area. Hopper droppers with y2k and pink worm droppers got us the bigger fish today. We had a blast!

Canoe hatch
Well we did get a little rain. River remains low and clear. Need a lot more. Sissy and I chased squirrels this morning. It truly amazes me how much she hates squirrels! I love it she never lies to me. If she barks there is a squirrel in there! I did go down to bayou at about 1pm. Surprise, surprise, there was a big canoe hatch coming down the river! Looked like they were having fun.

Ok so we got very little rain once again. The river remains low and clear. Perfect for Hopper droppers. Catching on caddis dries too!

Low and clear
It has rained a little bit this morning, but today we had a great day fishing in the drizzle, looking for walleye, caught a bunch of smallies and trout, no walleye. Perfect day for fishing! It was a wet mess out there and the fish were loving it! Still need the rain, I floated to Cedar Valley Resort today and it was tough getting down in my raft. No prob in a canoe or kayak, but it has been awhile since I had a drift boat out. River is too low. We need a good long rain.

Olive
We did get about 2 inches of rain earlier this week and it stirred the water up for about a day, but river remains low. Still in need of rain. Caught several on Wednesday but bite was slow. Better bite on Thursday but had a hard time holding them on. Olive was king!

Oh yeah
We got about a half inch of rain this morning. River remains low and clear. Still could use a lot more rain. The river may cloud up a little thru the day, but not enough rain to affect the river. More in forecast so I'mhoping for a lot more. Cold Springs access is still blocked off. Doesn't look like it will be opened soon. Not happy but what can ya do...

Low and clear
Getting just enough rain to keep the ground wet, need more rain. River remains low and clear, making for a tough time to float. The Nrs slipstream has had no problems getting down the river, but I am not using a drift boat for awhile. Catching plenty of bows with the hatchery stocking nice fish, few big browns out there if you can get them to bite. Low snd clear has made for tough high sun days, and fantastic overcast days. Generally fishing smaller flies with nymphs and f

Getting rain
We have been chasing smallies way south the last 3 days, had a great float on Wednesday from Ravenden to Imboden, water looked great and we caught some fish but not really good, came back up river to Cedar Valley put in and floated down to Many Islands for a fantastic run of smallies with a few other fish mixed in. All caught and safely released. That's how they get bigger... Be aware going thru this run, it's nasty with dead man's curve few falls down from saddlers. My

I am booked for April, still some dates open in May. Plenty thru the summer. No deposit, just text

Good stuff!
Wow we had a great day with olive woollies. I was busy over the weekend and had several calls for what were they biting on. The recent rain has got water levels up a lot but could use more. River looks great, with a heavy green tint. Olive woollies were about the only fly we used today. It was hot all day. The sun came out and we had to get the fly down but no problem getting the fish to bite today.
