Spring River

Water flow this week has been strong at 500 cfs and water clarity has been good. This weekend we had some nice days and the bite has been good on olive woollies, nymphs and y2ks. The trout in the remote areas was slow but the stocked areas were hitting great. The wind has been a problem last week. Always nice to have a day with overcast skies and no wind. Makes casting easier. On those rough windy days just put your back to the wind and gently lift your line. If should fly out in front of you. I just hope that is the direction of the water...

Had some great grandfather/grandson, granddaughter trips lately. Always great time watching them be competitive.
