Smallies

Spent the last 2 days chasing smallies and it was slow fishing both days. Got out early to beat the heat. We did catch smallies, trout, panfish and 1 big shad. After the sun got up the bite slowed for us. The hot flies were craft fur clousers and sculpin. The trout have been hitting great on the upper.

We have had some rain Thursday and Friday night. Much needed with the dry conditions lately. The spring is flowing at 360 cfs about avg flow. The river is getting low, making it hard to get over waterfalls on the smallie stretch. The new flycraft does not do any better on the falls. We got stuck a lot.
