River low and clear

Water flow at the spring is running at 300 cfs and clarity is clear. Needing some rain. Been awhile. We are still catching big fish on the good days, a white lightning or y2k below an indicator has been the ticket for the big ones. Gotta slow the presentation down and fish the deep holes. On the really good days the browns are hitting the white lightning fished like a streamer. Not many streamer days but awesome when the fish are chasing. Half the days are super tough. High sticking nymphs, indicator with egg and midge are the ticket. The fish are there but holding to the bottom of the river.

It has been cold out. Layer up and don't forget your hand warmers. They sell them at Walmart and are how we get thru the freezing days. Stay dry!
