River looks good
The water flow at the spring is 470 cfs, 350 avg and water clarity is good. The river is up and flowing strong. Great if you are in a drift boat, not so good if you are wading. It takes some work to get the fly down. We have been using tungsten beads on the flies to get them to drop.
Unfortunately more rain is in the forecast for Wednesday. I will post river conditions on Thursday morning and hopefully the rain will be minimal. The orange blossom special, y2ks, and white lightning have been hot.
On Monday we had a really slow start and didnt really start catching much until after lunch and then we really started catching them. If ya dont fly fish and only spin fish then I highly recommend trout cranks from troutmagnet.com, I like the brown trout and rainbow trout colors. And flicker shad from Berkley. The crank baits get down fast and are great for catch and release.
