River is looking fantastic!

Ok Im hoping it doesn't rain for awhile. River os coming down and clarity is perfect. On Tuesday the bite was on! I created a new big white fly to get down fast and I think I accidentally made a perfect smallmouth fly. Check the pictures for proof. We caught these in the trout stretch.

Thru April we will be floating the smallmouth stretch practicing for guiding in May. We will be offering trout guide trips from dam 3 down and smallmouth trips from Mini Islands down. Steve is available on weekends and I have been training a local great guy, Benjamin for helping thru the week during the summer. As promised we are growing to offer or clients more opportunities to fish on the Spring River. Ya may not know but the Spring River is about 42 miles long. About 15 miles is designated trout water. Below that is all smallmouth and goggle eye water. We will be exploring all of the river with the rsft looking for the best water to fish. It is a tough job but someone has to do it.....

Olive woollies have been the hot fly and my big white lightning has been the big fish fly lately. If the water stays clear nymphs will start doing well.

Im in Mountain Home today at the sowbug speaking at 2:30 on the Spring River.
