Nymphing

Spent the day Thursday chasing trout and I could see the dean things chasing a silver eye lash minnow, and when I tried a brownie, brown woolly I could see them chasing with few bites. Well when that happens it's Hopper dropper time! Had several hits on yellow Hopper and loaded some nice bows on the dropper, a size 14 bead head pheasant tail. And that got action! If the bite is slow I always down size and make sure your getting to the bottom. Everyone asks how far the dropper should be below the Hopper. It all depends on water depth and speed of current. It your hanging up a lot your close, just shorten up a bit at a time till your not hanging up and you should be just off the bottom!

River looks great, got a little stain the way we like it!
