Low and clear, no rain

The river is looking great. Trout and smallies have been hitting great except on the hot sunny days, after 1pm might as well take a nap. The cloudy days have been excellent but have been few and far between. What they have been biting on has been about everything on cloudy days and on the tough days nymphs for sure. Hare's ears or princes have been my day savers.

Benjamin has been in Alaska working at a lodge as a guide this summer. He will be back July 20-August 6th! Text me to book a trip with him for smallies on the south fork and spring while he is home. He will be guiding full time this year and has been great with first time fly fishers. Hunter has openings too. I have been booked up lately and I do apologize for not being open more. I have been guiding 6 days a week trying to get everyone on the water. My calendar opens in Mid August. Please book ahead to spend a day with me.

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of helping out with the Smallmouth Tour 2021 with Duane, Tadd and Keith. I learned so much from them about smallmouth and the techniques they use. If ya haven't taken the class, I highly recommend it to learn how important smallmouth really are for fly fishing. If your tired of sink tips and heavy rods then you will love this course!! We will be doing more guide trips for smallies locally looking for that amazing fighting fish!
