The Spring River is pushing about 500 cfs and water clarity is great. With all the rain lately the river has been fishing fantastic this week. Y2ks on some days and white lightning on others. Sometimes indicators sometimes tight lining. It was really nasty a few days with cold and wet weather but wow was it fun! Mostly numbers lately with the water up. Be careful wading and floating. Wading staffs are a lot of help! I think we are all waiting on warmer dryer days ahead for chasing smallies.

April 1st, Many Islands and Spring River Oaks open up and that will open up access to lower sections of the Spring for chasing smallies. The water levels do need to come down some but we will start chasing the smallies in April regardless of conditions!

In the video is Hannah, a wonderful young lady that started fishing with me 10 years ago when she was 8 with her gramps. So amazing watching the young people growing up and loving fishing, and the outdoors. It's truly a blessing.
