Kings

Oh my goodness, Hunter and I and 3 amigos caught so many King Salmon in 2 days it was unbelievable. My go to guy up there John, said it is the most Kings he has seen on the Pere Marquette. We caught so many we couldn't hold our arms up to feed for supper! Hunter slept the first day, and lit them up on the 2nd. He was hooked up all day! And then slept the 10 hr ride home. I was a proud daddy.

The water was very low and clear, with eggs and black woollies being hot. With the low water little weight was needed, huge Kings right there in front of you, when they hit ya gotta make sure and move your hand!! I busted my fingers twice, Ouch! We all had 10 wts with 35 lb tippet. If ya got in the way of that fish and tippet you were in trouble. I had a new heavy net this year that was like swinging a broad sword! I got new muscles. We caught and released. They do die after spawning, but I prefer Fred's Fish house....
