Happy Holidays!

I gotta say 2020 has had it's up and downs. The last few months have been great fishing. It always amazes me the size of the trout that are caught in Spring River during the winter months. With new management starting the 1st of 2021, we all hope that more of them stay in the river.

The river this week has been low and clear. Still catching the big rainbows with a few really nice browns lately. White lightning and y2ks have been the flies producing big fish for us. I also had a wonderful young man that does not fly fish that caught some big fish on Berkeley flicker shad crank baits. I also recommend the trout cranks in brown trout colors. If ya have to use a spinning rod. On the tough days and there are many this time of year nymphs have been the back up plan. Size 12-8 prince nymph, hare's ear. All can be good. The shop will be open Saturday half day.

We want to thank everyone for a great year! 2021 will be all about getting the fly shop up and running. Hopefully fly tying and rod making classes in the future.

Tight lines and good luck and Merry Christmas,

Mark, Hunter, Amanda, Steve and Benjamin.
