Great days on the River!

The bite has been all over the place lately but if ya work for the bite it always works out. The last 2 days have been a Hopper/y2k dropper kinda days. The overcast and dreary day should have been good with the olive woolly, we did catch a few on it, but when the y2k came out, dead drifted below a hopper the bite was on! And we did try tightlining the y2k but it did not work well. The white lightning below the hopper got us a few smallmouth. And yes! They do hit the hoppers! But dang thats a hard hook set. Im usually screaming, hopper, hopper and everyone is looking at me....

Weird weather today with nasty weather in forecast for

Tuesday night, well we got a lot of rain real fast and hard at 9 am, then overcast perfect day. The river remains low and clear. The low clear water is what makes the hopper dropper work so well.

The guys are open and ready to put ya on the fish! Tis the season to catch fish!
