Great catching

The river is looking great this week. Catching plenty of bows, even on the hot days. When the sun is bearing down midday and the heat is on, ya just gotta find the deeper green pockets in the faster wayer and the trout will be schooled up. On Thursday an old pattern from Idaho was really hot. The Idaho leech. Going out today to chase smallies.

The river is cold and refreshing in all this heat. Labor day was the last big canoe hatch and I am looking forward to cooler temps soon and the fall season.

Its good!

So far so good, we have had a lot of rain north of us, but it has not hurt river conditions. The river has come up to 310cfs, 350 avg, and water clarity is mostly clear. Jim Hinkle is stocking really
