The river looks great! We had a great float trip on Monday and caught a bunch of nice bows. Nymphs and y2ks we're hot flies. Euro nymphing thru the morning was hot! A lot of bigger wild looking trout. With some small stickers mixed in.
I spent the day Sunday researching spots to fish for smallmouth for warmer days. The south fork and the strawberry river were my main focus. Found some excellent wade in spots on the south fork and great launch spots on the strawberry. Stayed tuned for future exploration of these areas in search of smallies. Hardest part has been finding spots not pressured by humans...
