Catch and release

River looks great, had some rain over the weekend that was greatly needed. The river has been low and clear.

Over the last few weeks Jim Hinkle fish hatchery has been stocking some big fish clearing out the ponds in the hatchery. We had a busy weekend and I did see many of these big rainbows pulled out of the river. We are strictly a catch and release guide service. All of the fish in our photos are safely released for others to catch. With the new regulations only allowing 1 fish over 14inches to be kept it should help keep more big fish in the water. Also when catch and releasing big fish make sure to take the time to revive the fish before it swims off. The brusier should swim out of the net when released. We also use nets with rubber netting to keep from wiping slime off the fish and always wet your hands handling fish. Never use a towel!! I see that a lot. Not cool..

Benjamin will be back from Alaska soon and will be ready to guide. Hunter has been guiding and putting folks on the big fish. And I have had a lot of fun chasing the big fish lately. Good times during these crazy times!
