Brown trout

Shawn and I both had clients out today and we kicked butt. I had a young man in my boat fishing a 7 1/2 foot bamboo rod and we were hitting on all cylinders with a silver eyelash minnow fly. Y2ks and olives were not hot for us. Shawn was hitting them hard with a white fly below a indicator. I thinks it really cool we both figured out to use white. Overcast gloomy day got us both browns. Shawn got the biggest at 18 in ,and we landed 2 with our biggest at 16 in. Dang they fight hard! Never know if it's gonna be a smallmouth or brown trout.

River is at normal levels and water clarity is terrible. We are still wearing the trout out. Thunderstorms can change river conditions quickly. Be aware of rains north of town. And watch for flash flood warnings!
