Big Storm

Had some nasty weather move thru last night. It did rain hard for a bit. About 3/4 inch of rain. The river is flowing at 480 cfs, 350 avg and water clarity was poor today but fishable. It did not turn brown but does have a heavy pea soup stain.

Cicadas are here! Didn't see any on the water but got several strikes on the cicada. I was doing a cicada dropper with y2k hot at times and the Brownie hot other times. We did great today after the rain we got last night. It should be a perfect weekend to get out on the water. Water levels are up so be careful wading.

I'm out of town tomorrow but will be in the fly shop Saturday 9-10, then on the water. Weekends are not bust yet. That will happen end of May. Then fishing thru the weekdays are best.
