This is my new website that has a lot of new features. It will take me some time to figure out how to use them and hopefully it will be much better for all in the future. The blog page is up and running and will have recent posts on conditions.

Welcome to a website devoted to fly fishing the Spring River in Northeast Arkansas. My name is Mark Crawford and I have been guiding on the Spring River since 2004. The Spring River has so much to offer the modern fly fisher. With a consistent flow of water from one massive spring in town of an average flow of 9 million gallons of water, the spring is always ready. Fast runs and rocky shoals make for some incredible fly fishing. The Spring River is stocked weekly from the Jim Hinkly fish hatchery at Dam 3 access. Trout have been stocked in the Spring River since the 1850's from one of the oldest fish hatcheries in the U.S. in Mammoth Spring. Rainbow trout are the main fish that are stocked weekly with brown and cutthroat trout stocked thru out the year at different times. Weather permitting I guide almost everyday and my adventures can be read about on my blog page.
