Welcome to a website devoted to fly fishing the Spring River in Northeast Arkansas. My name is Mark Crawford and I have been guiding on the Spring River since 2004. I must say that it has a lot to offer the modern fly fisher. The Spring River is made for high stick nymphing. It has a consistent flow of water that runs from 350 cfs to 450 cfs. Fast runs and rocky shoals make for some incredible fly fishing. The Spring River is stocked weekly from the Jim Hinkle fish hatchery at Dam 3. Fish have been stocked in the river since 1850 from one of the oldest hatchery's in the United States. Rainbow trout are the main fish that is stocked weekly with brown and cutthroat trout stocked thru out the year. I try to fish everyday on the Spring River and my adventures can be read on my blog page.

If you're new to fly fishing I hope you will give me a chance to show you some of my methods. No experience is necessary. I provide all of the equipment and flies for a fun filled, action packed day on the water. Many people think it is hard to learn how to fly fish but I can show you some simple technique's that make fly fishing fun and easy.
